Henry Metz, Treasurer

Henry is a sophomore from Orlando, Florida, studying Economics and Cinema & Media Studies in the College of Arts & Sciences. He is deeply interested in the creative development & production sides of film and television, with a particular focus on how projects are shaped from early material through release. As Treasurer, Henry oversees UME’s finances while working closely with committee leads to expand programming, speaker events, and career exploration opportunities. Otherwise within UME, Henry is involved in both the Consulting and Events committees. Outside of UME, he is the Film & TV Beat Editor for 34th Street Magazine, works on student film productions, and drums in the Penn Jazz band and Penn Glee Club Band. Henry joined UME to gain hands-on exposure to the entertainment industry’s professional landscape and values the organization for its tight-knit community, alumni access, and emphasis on thoughtful career exploration across media.
